Increasing Email Marketing Open Rates Without Much Work

Email marketing can be a crucial tool for small businesses but it can be tough to see the results that you want.  No marketing campaign will have an open rate of 100%, however it also doesn’t mean that you should settle for single digit views for your campaign.

Open up your last email marketing campaign, what was the open rate?  15%, 25%, 40%?  So 60% to 85% of people didn’t open up your last email.   All that work crafting the perfect message and getting the right images only to not reach the people who gave you their emails.  Frustrating huh?  What if you could easily increase those numbers with an easy two-step process?

First go to the email reports that you would find on Mail Chimp or Constant Contact a week after you sent your campaign.  Next find the list of people who didn’t open your email and make a mailing list with just those addresses.  Next duplicate the email you sent out, change your email subject line and then send to the list of people who didn’t open your email the first time.

If you get a 10%-15% open rate with the second email, you have now reached a sizable audience with two mailings of the same email with not too much added work.  Simple huh?
